The official traffic goes south and east. You go west.
Every official car park for the Oasis shows is reached from the A1(M) Junction 7 roundabout or the B197 London Road through Knebworth village. Old Knebworth is a separate hamlet beyond the far side of the estate, reached by lanes from the B656 on the Codicote and Welwyn side. Our gate is on that side. If you never go near J7 or the B197, you never join the queue.
From London & the south
Leave the A1(M) at Junction 6 (Welwyn). Take the B656 north towards Codicote. In Codicote follow our yellow event signs east into the lanes. Allow 15 minutes from J6.
From the north & Midlands
Leave the A1(M) at Junction 8 (Stevenage North / Hitchin). Head west to the B656 at Hitchin/St Ippolyts, then south towards Codicote and follow our yellow signs. Allow 25 minutes from J8.
From the west (Luton, Hitchin, M1)
Come cross-country to Codicote on the B656 and pick up our yellow signs. You never touch the A1(M) at all.
- ✗ Do not follow satnav routes via the A1(M) Junction 7 or the B197 through Knebworth village on show days. That is the event queue.
- ✗ Do not try to enter Knebworth Park by car from Old Knebworth Lane. Estate security will turn you round. Our field is private land outside the park.
- ✗ Do not arrive after 21:00 for the hotel without calling us; the lane is unlit and the host will guide you in.
Honesty note: we control our field, gate and lane, not the public roads. Our route has stayed clear at every previous Knebworth show, but the county council and police run the roads on the day and the 2027 traffic plan is not yet published. Leave early.
At the gate
- 1. Have the QR on your phone ready before you reach the gate — screenshots are fine, no signal needed.
- 2. A steward scans it and points you to your row (parking) or numbered pitch (camping).
- 3. Park nose-to-tail as directed. Keep 6 m aisles clear at all times; they are fire lanes.
- 4. Hotel guests: park in the hotel car park in the lower field; the host walks you to your tent in the upper field, bags on a barrow.
Walking to the show
The walking route to the arena is confirmed on the ground with the estate and published to every ticket holder at least 14 days before the show, with a map and a what3words trail. Budget 30–40 minutes at a relaxed pace. Stewards in hi-vis mark the lane junction from 22:00 until the last guest is back.
