Who we are
Knebworth Basecamp (“we”) runs Knebworth Basecamp. Contact: hello@knebworthbasecamp.com.
What we collect
When you book: your name, email address, mobile number (optional), vehicle registration (optional) and party size, plus the dates and products you booked. Payment card details are collected and processed by Stripe; we never see or store them.
Why we use it
To take and manage your booking, send your ticket and balance reminders, run the gate and campsite on the day, contact you about the event (route changes, weather, safety), and meet our legal and insurance obligations. The legal basis is performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interest in running a safe site.
Who we share it with
Stripe (payments), our email provider (ticket and reminder emails), our hosting and database providers, and, if required, the police, the licensing authority or our insurer. We never sell your data and never share it for others’ marketing.
How long we keep it
Booking records are deleted within 90 days after the last event date, except where we must keep them longer for tax, insurance or a dispute.
The opening list
If you join the opening list we store your email address, whether you asked about a tent or parking, the weekends you ticked and the time you signed up. We use it for one thing: to tell you when bookings open, with at most one reminder. It is kept in our booking database with an encrypted backup on our hosting provider, and deleted once bookings have been open for 30 days or when you ask, whichever is sooner. Email us to be removed at any time.
Marketing
We only email you about your booking and this event. If we ever want to tell you about future events we will ask first, and every email will have an unsubscribe link.
Cookies
The public site sets no tracking cookies of its own. If analytics or advertising tags are enabled they are listed here and you can opt out through your browser. The crew area sets one login cookie for staff.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it, by emailing us. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).
