Oasis Knebworth 2027: the honest travel guide.
Six shows on three consecutive weekends, 125,000 people a day, one park with one main road in. Here is what the organisers have said, what happened at the last five big Knebworth shows, and the choices you actually have. We run an independent parking and camping field on the west side, so read this knowing that, but every fact below is sourced.
the dates and the numbers
Oasis play Knebworth Park on Saturday 11, Sunday 12, Saturday 18, Sunday 19, Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 September 2027. The last two dates were added on 23 September 2026 after what the promoters called phenomenal demand during ticket registration, and they say no further dates will be added. The shows are promoted by SJM Concerts under a premises licence for 125,000 people a day granted by North Herts Council in August 2026. Doors and stage times have not been announced. The licence requires a Traffic and Transport Management Plan; Hertfordshire County Council said in September 2026 that it is too early to say which roads will close.
what the organisers are offering
Rail. Direct trains from Stevenage to London King's Cross after each show between 11:30 pm and 1:30 am, capped at £10 one way, with a stewarded, lit walking route of about two miles from the site to the station. Trains into Stevenage before the show are the normal timetable; expect them to be very full.
Coach. Return coaches from more than 120 UK towns sold through Ticketmaster, dropping about five minutes' walk from the arena, with a one-hour boarding window after the show.
Official parking. Not yet announced. At Iron Maiden in 2026 a car-park pass cost about £35 and every car park was reached from the A1(M) Junction 7 roundabout, with northern traffic routed via Junction 8 and the B197. Expect the same shape of plan.
Pick-up and drop-off. Previous events allowed drop-off only at an on-site point via Junction 7 and warned that being collected from surrounding roads was unsafe and would be policed.
what happened last time, and the time before
Iron Maiden, 11 July 2026 (about 50,000). Reports of almost four hours queuing on the A1(M) to reach the car parks, three to five hours to get out, cars still leaving at 12:50 am, no return shuttle to Stevenage after the Saturday show, and Knebworth House saying it was investigating complaints about parking, traffic and communication.
Liam Gallagher, June 2022 (170,000 over two nights). National Highways reported long delays on the A1(M) between Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage from early afternoon; the parking contractor built an extra park-and-ride overnight for the second show.
Robbie Williams, August 2003 (125,000 a night). NME reported nine hours of traffic jams, thousands of fans missing the show, and five hours to get off site.
Sonisphere 2014. Junction 7 slip roads closed for five days; one of the official exit routes ran through Deer Gate to Old Knebworth Lane.
your realistic options
Train and walk. The organisers' preferred option. Cheap, and the late trains are a genuine fix for London. Downsides: Stevenage station capacity before the show, the two-mile walk each way, and no help if you live anywhere but on the East Coast Main Line.
Coach. Good value if a pick-up point is near you and you are happy with a fixed departure. The one-hour post-show boarding window means an early exit from the encore.
Official parking. Convenient on paper. Every previous Knebworth show says the same thing: budget hours to get in and hours to get out, because every space is fed from one roundabout.
Independent parking, or the glamping pop-up hotel, on the west side. That is us. Approach from the B656 and Codicote, never touch Junction 7 or the B197, walk or shuttle in, and either leave when you like or sleep in a made-up bell tent and leave in the morning. It is not the official car park, we cannot control the public roads, and the walking route is confirmed nearer the time. The refund policy covers an official closure that makes us unreachable.
if you missed out on tickets
Official resale through Ticketmaster releases tickets in waves right up to show week. Never buy from a stranger at a gate. If you want the weekend anyway, our pop-up hotel is open to people without tickets; a room is not a ticket and does not get you into the park, and we do not promise you will hear the show, but you will be a mile away with a couple of hundred people who were inside.

When do Oasis Knebworth 2027 tickets go on sale?+
UK on-sales for the first four dates run 25, 26 and 27 September 2026 through Ticketmaster, for people who registered by 17 September. The on-sale for the two added dates, 25 and 26 September 2027, had not been confirmed when this guide was updated. Resale follows through Ticketmaster.
Which A1(M) junction is Knebworth Park?+
The official entrance is at Junction 7 (Stevenage South). The Old Knebworth side is reached from Junction 6 or Junction 8 via the B656, which is the approach we use.
Is there camping at Oasis Knebworth?+
Glamping, yes: our pop-up hotel on the Old Knebworth side, fifty made-up bell tents sleeping up to four, sold by the night on all three show weekends. We do not take bring-your-own tents.
How do I get from Stevenage to Knebworth Park?+
On foot along the stewarded route, about two miles, or by any shuttle the organisers announce. After the Iron Maiden show in 2026 there was no return shuttle, so plan to walk back.
