Terms & refund policy

Who we are
Knebworth Basecamp operates a temporary, independent camping and parking site on private farmland at Old Knebworth, Hertfordshire. We are not connected with the artist, the promoter, Ticketmaster or Knebworth House and we do not sell concert tickets. Your booking with us is separate from your concert ticket.
What you are buying
A licence to park one vehicle in a marked bay for the show day booked, or to occupy one pre-pitched bell tent for the nights booked, with use of the shower block, toilet block and shared facilities. Food and drink are not included. We do not guarantee a specific bay or tent number until you arrive.
Concert tickets
A booking with us is not a concert ticket and gives no right of entry to Knebworth Park or the event. We do not sell, source or resell concert tickets and we do not act as agent for anyone who does. We make no promise that the concert can be heard or seen from the site. Attempting to enter the event without a valid ticket is a matter between you, the promoter and the police.
Payment
Bookings are paid in full at the time of booking by card through Stripe. We do not take deposits or hold spaces without payment.
Cancellation and refunds
Cancel for any reason up to and including 1 June 2027 by emailing us with your booking reference and we refund in full within 10 working days. After that date bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable. Regardless of date, we refund in full if the concert is cancelled, if the site cannot open, or if a road closure imposed by the authorities makes the site unreachable by car. Weather that does not close the site is not grounds for a refund.
Roads and traffic
We control our field, our gate and the private lane to it. We do not control the public highway, event road closures, police directions or the volume of traffic on the day, and we cannot guarantee journey times, arrival times or that you reach the concert by any particular time. Our routes and timings are advice based on how previous Knebworth events have run. You are responsible for leaving enough time. We are not liable for delays, missed performances or costs arising from traffic or road management, whatever their cause. If an official closure makes the site unreachable by car we refund in full, as set out under Refunds.
Arrival and departure
Parking gate opens 09:00 on show days. Hotel check-in 14:00–22:00 on the arrival day, check-out by 11:00. Hotel guests park in the hotel car park; no vehicles in the hotel field.
Site rules
Follow steward instructions at all times. Keep aisles and fire lanes clear. No open fires, stoves or barbecues; food and drink are sold in the compound. No glass. No generators. No amplified music. Guests may not pitch their own tents or sleep in vehicles. Quiet hours 23:00–07:00. Dogs on leads. No unaccompanied under-18s. Anyone who is abusive, dangerous or ignores these rules will be asked to leave without refund.
The bar compound
Alcohol is sold under a Temporary Event Notice in a fenced area with a legal capacity limit. Entry is at the discretion of door staff and may be paused when the compound is full. Challenge 25 applies. No alcohol may be brought into the compound.
Your vehicle and property
Vehicles and belongings are left at your own risk. The field is agricultural land: surfaces are uneven and may be soft after rain. We will help recover stuck vehicles with a tractor where we can, without liability.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence. Otherwise our liability is limited to the amount you paid us.
Data
We use your name, email, phone and vehicle registration only to run your booking and the site on the day, and we delete them within 90 days of the last event. Payments are handled by Stripe; we never see your card details.
